Collective Independence 2003 celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Printmaker's Network of Southern New England. This is the group's third portfolio. There are twenty-two original prints representing a range of interpretations and print media. The portfolio depicts the group's collective personality and the continuing dialectic between unity and independence.

The Network is a cohesive group of artists from Connecticut, Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts. Their coordinated efforts are aimed at facilitating advocacy for regional artists working in prints. The portfolio is printed in an edition of twenty-five.
