Suggestive of fragmentary sections of stained glass windows, pairs of 4' x 7' photographic transparencies mounted on lead supports overlap to form cruciforms in each of the five windows. Additional transparencies are attached to the horizontal, arching windows located above the cruciform shapes. Referencing both personal narrative and pilgrimage, the imagery will build upon the layered history of religious practice and iconography. Through its imagery and content, the work will dialogue with Grace Episcopal Church, located across the street and easily viewed through the two corner windows.
